In Memory of Gilbert (Gil)

:o( We sure enjoyed our time with you our little fish from the big blue Why did you part with us this day Not leaving a word to say Perhaps you were lonesome or maybe we we're bothersome Well wherever you are know you were the Best by far

Try the Sampler...its delish!

We had our sampler on Tuesday at the Little Gym where M and I got to take a free class provided there. M had a great time. We would all sit around on a big mat(kids and parents) and do as the instructor instructed. Singing, hand motions, dancing, Simon says, etc. There was bubble blowing, jumping off the top, crab crawling on bars, running on balance beam, and bouncing of rubber balls. Then 45 minutes were up and it was time to go. She was very upset that play time was over, in fact I literally had to drag her out of the room being the last one to leave.
The instructor took a particular interest in M noting her height, strong legs, and Independence. Us parentals had been discussing what to do with M because she is just all over the house, always running and moving. She needs some outside-her-environment stimulation and we think we now concluded where she'll be receiving. Starting in January she'll be enrolled in......
....Drum roll..... Gymnastics!
I know, none of us saw it coming. We just thought of it one day and took lead. Its a 20 week program starting in January. More to come, then.

Family Night snap shots

Because we have a two year old we find that singing children songs is all we can to do to get her to pay attention/participate. This is "popcorn popping"...tho I think grandma is doing Thriller. And this is her during the lesson smackin' and choppin' down on "ma ma's" Apple. Grandma is called " ma ma" by M. Good nite!

OURtoberfest

Being that the Hubs was in Utah we decided to hit up our local Oktoberfest, just M and I. Since nobody was willing to accompany us. We arrived about 6:30, loaded the stroller, and started the adventure alone. Now one may say Im brave, that makes me feel good, for going alone. But it wouldn't be the first that i've undertaken an adventure without the Hubs. In fact, I drove 3 hrs with a 4 month old all by my self to a place i'd never been. Now that was a pit-sweater! But I did it then and so this was nothing. Going to the heart of Mesa, @ 7pm, two year old in tow, sporting the single mama appearance, with crowds of ppl...this was Nothing. I'd say that the most scariest part of the night was getting from the far ended-baron-quiet-creepy-dim-lit parking lot to the actual event. No husband(or friend for that matter) there to protect me from whatever lurked behind the shadows. I scurried a bit to get there just so that it looked as if i was meeting someone while running late(didn't want to look like an easy-target). So there we were, two lanes of trafficking ppl, live band music in the background, the smell of hot coals and hotdogs, and a whole strip of stores etc for us to partake in. The feelings of regret dissipated soon filled by "ou, that looks good!", " wish I had money for that!". Shortly after walking I realized neither of us ate any supper. So those hotdogs became the answer to my question. M got a hotdog, chips, and a lemonade while I on the other hand tried for the first time a Bratwurst. And after the first swallow of it I realized it should have been called "Brat-WORST". Yuck! i couldn't stand the thing, its flavoring, everything was all wrong. The coke and chips soon became my supper but at least M enjoyed her dog. Photobucket Photobucket ( you can't really tell but I busted out an old gift(new boots) and put her in a cute blue dress.) She looked so hip, ppl were saying "wow, she dresses better than I do." Sorry, I didn't bring my camera along but my phone came in handy so I snapped two. I wasn't really planning on buying anything with my paycheck but it just so happens I walked by and glanced at a pair of earrings I just had to have. As I handed over the cash and oogled at the earrings I didn't feel too bad paying the $8. I was quite surprised...events like this usually charge an arm-and-a-leg for anything sold there. Guess the economy had something to do with that. :o) But the best part of the whole dang thing was the Antique Store. Oh I just LOVE antiques stores. The smell of old things, dust, and good finds...it just can't get any better to wrap up my night. (ok, maybe if i stumbled upon $1000 bucks it would) Because I know where the first and last place it would be spent. Darling things are just everywhere. There was this basket and in it it had vintage make-up compacts and lipsticks with these intricate designs and ware-and-tear. Old worn books on book selves, old hats on hat posts, vintage tri-cycle, adorable 40's metal fan, and a white crystal punch bowl set. I always keep my eye out for punch bowl sets and one of these days I hope I find it. It was getting late, M was restless and whining. I was very sad to leave, to not find a single treasure for me to bring home. But of course being stingey with my money I couldn't find one thing worth the money and it had to be something i would find use out of or use as home decor. So I was leaving the store when I passed a shelf with a little pink flowered tea cup on it. I squealed with joy but hesitant to look at the price tag. It read [$6.43]. ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Cha, I know right! Now thats what im talking about So then get this...I get up to the reg and the lady says $3.57 please. Just my good looks i suppose. hahah j/k nah, i think b/c of the event they were taking off a percentage. Soo Happy! So this is taking too long, so to shorten: -the hot dog guy saw my shoes and commented " If I were a girl, I'd definitely where those shoes. I like them alot" and he didn't seem gay to me. I think he might have been being nice b/c he thought i was a single mom. (shrug) -walked back to the car to find that someone had place a sticker on the rear saying "KEEP RIGHT except to pass" . ??? yeah, no clue who'd do that. In fact, i thought it was pretty funny. Mine was the only car that got tagged. -M was still to wired...so I decided to let her out of her stroller and walk a bit. 1 hour later after walking( i mean RUNNING) back and forth across the strip, she was wearing down so we walked back and drove home! Lets just say, it was a very good night together. :0)

Womenfolk and dominoes

Us womenfolk have our downfalls. I am a woman therefore I fall into the category. One particular downfall is Worry. We tend to be worriers. A downfall of that? Leads to stress. A downfall of that?, Leads to anxiety. A downfall of that? Leads to depression. A downfall of that? leads to lack of motivation. A downfall of that? = leads to self - pity. A downfall of that? = leads to
Overwhelm.
Overcome. Overall .....hurt.
It hurts and it wears us thin. Its a domino after domino after domino effect. Or is it affect. (Excuse me is late.) It is very well known as the scenario of the
"Domino Affect/Effect."
I hate saying it because it feels like defeat....but...WHY?! I guess its just who I am...and so....I just keep playing dominoes.

Just One Meal

What if this Thanksgiving you didn't have any food to be thankful for? No juicy turkey, no gravy potatoes, no sweet yams, nor that mouth watering pie you've been salivating for. Can you imagine? Thanksgiving just wouldn't be the same. So for some this is the case. And my heart goes out to them in hopes that by my donation someone somewhere will have full belly on thanksgiving. The thought just brings a smile to my face. I recieved a letter in the mail about providing food for the needy on thanksgiving. And all that they ask of me was to provide just $1.92. This amount will feed a hungry child, woman, or man. Just think if all of us just paid that small amount how much that would add up so quickly. So here is the information if you would like to donate. donation facts: $250 provides 130 meals $100 provides 52 meals $50 provides 26 meals $25 provides 13 meals

You see why dogs disgust me?

I visited my doctor today and an issue of concern came about. I did some internet searching and this is what came about. Just another reason for disliking dogs. Two words: Parasite host. You read it right...Did you know...?
"90 % of Adults have parasites" In other words: in a room of 10 ppl - 9 ppl have some form of parasite within them. Put that in perspective for ya.
"Probably the most common method of transmission[of parasites] is through pets. Even if you wash your hands after petting your dog or cat or handling your scaly or feathered friends, you can still get parasites by picking up their bedding or their food dish or when they come over and lick you. This is the reason why women are advised to stop emptying the cat litter box while they are pregnant. " "Possible Signs of Parasitic Infestation Since parasites will naturally inhabit the weaker areas of your body, symptoms can manifest in many different ways. Stomach pain, indigestion, ulcers, constipation or colitis may indicate parasites in the digestive tract Uncontrollable movements, such as Parkinson’s disease, may indicate parasites in the nervous system Joint or muscle pain, such as arthritis, can be a sign that the presence of a parasite is irritating the joint or tissue and thereby causing inflammation Increased susceptibility to infections in lungs, sinuses, vagina, bladder or any mucous membrane may indicate the presence of a parasite Food and environmental allergies are often linked to parasites because as digested food is released into the intestines, it can seep through perforations caused by the parasites into the lymphatic system Dermatitis, itching, psoriasis, eczema, hives, swelling and rashes can indicate parasites in the skin Anemia, fatigue or drowsiness after meals may indicate that parasites are competing with the body for nutrients"

See short VIDEO here.
Just interesting and i thought you should know. Its most likely that you and I have some form of parasite in us...and they don't always manifest themselves quickly...some take years...others show through subtle changes in our body, some just in months. Im pretty sure the first thing I'll be doing is a colon cleanse. The more knowledge i've gained about it the more im convinced its better to do it than not.
Take the Test Here to find out if a colon cleanse is right for you.

and the rains came down

You may or may not know already...but the news is that it was going to take alot on money "ON hand" to fix up the place before we moved in. In order to make it livable. But obviously we don't have the money. And so thats pretty much the stori. I was afraid this would happen once we'd hear back from the Inspector. (sigh) Oh well. In a way, we are both relieved. Once we made the decision to back out we felt pretty good about it. Its just hard when this place had sooo much potential and could be the once beautiful place it was.
So, On with the next!
