Of course as a women I am always trying to improve my look, test waters, try new styles...because I like to and its fun to find out what I like most. My Favorite book lately is called Color Me Beautiful's Looking your Best. Got it on half.com while back for 3 bucks! I read it and found out my colors...my seasons...whats Me.
Im: Light Summer
This is my color palette
AND~~~~~~~
I am: light Spring
This is my other color palette This just means that these colors are all I should stick to if I want to wear my colors, not my colors wear me. Including make-up too. Most ppl have two seasons, more of one than the other but you get the idea.
Im learning so many things I wasn't aware of before! I recommend every women to get this book. Ebay, half.com, amazon, someplace, somewhere this book is sold. Yes, Its outdated but the rules still apply.

Oh and my favorite Soda is D.P.!!!!!!!! 23 flavors of yum-ness :o)

My first buy

I am sooo excited...today I just bought my first thing from Etsy.com! These gorgeous cute swirly earrings. I saw them and fell for them. I thought about them alot...and you know if that happens it means no matter what you're gonna get em sooner or later. They are simply buttons that she silver plated, painted red and put backings on. It opened a door in my head.."hmmm...maybe I could make my own earrings too!" Aren't they just...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(sigh)

Simple Reminders

Well Today was just like any other morning...get up, change diaper, head down stairs to make breakfast yada yada yada...and I thought it would be special to make something healthy and taste good. So I made Emm and I some oatmeal with honey, sliced strawberries, and dried blueberries. Oh and some milk too. It was delish! besides the tart strawberries...Continue on...I did what I normally do and then played with Emm a bit and I played with this doll. Emmery wanted to play with the doll too so I gave it to her. Funny because Emm did what any mother would do...she took the baby, held her close, and started patting it on the back, and rested her head on the baby. IT WAS SO ADORABLE! She knows and understands that when I pick her up I hold her close, pat her on the back, and rest my head on her. This is the first time I've seen her do something a big girl would do. It made me realize how fast babies grow and that she is not such a baby at all...she knows and understands. But with this Knowledge(of mine) comes great responsibility. This realization made more of an impact on me than I had expected. If she KNOWs and UNDERSTANDS.?.?.?..what else am I doing as a mother as her example???Good or Bad. What am I lacking or imputing for good or bad? I knew this day would come and I've been workin on myself(watching what I say, how loud I am, what I do/or don't do) these past few months...since b/4 her 1st bday. I feel I've made improvement but have I really tried to go that extra mile? Such simple reminders can bring on such huge changes. Am I being the example that I want my child to see and Be?

B-Balls

We were happily invited to a surprise bday party for a friend of ours which involved all the men playing a bball game. There just so happened to be extra bballs there and I captured Emmerys excitement with them.
"Mom, what are these?"
"Are they for sitting on?" "Oh, i get it, you kick them right?"
BtW...thanks gma for the outfit!

Whatta Mop!

Before
AfterYuck, But I have nice clean floors now!
Okay so remember that was Tuesday...well emmery had made a wonderful mess with strawberries last night so I wanted to clean the dining area again(wood floors). Check out how much dirt was tracked in in 4 DAYS!
Tuesday to Saturday results

Geez man, thats amazing. I'd never thought I'd say this...I love Mopping! And its nice how fast it dries...Emmery has no patience.

my FavOrite

My Favorite site these past two days which Im embarrassed to say has inhabited much of my presence...is http://www.etsy.com/. Be prepared to spend at least an hour searching, oogling, awing, drooling, wishing, hoping, and/or craving this stuff. Theres no end as to what you can find handmade on this website. It makes me want to learn how to make these things myself so I only have to pay for my materials. But here are just tastes of the things you can oogle at
(:0D) And don't you dare think you're gonna take one of these things...nah Im just kidding. However, Im really EYEing those round ones...leave those for me.

Investigating

Mr. F(sean) has started back up again with his weekly baseball UOP team(in case you're wondering his back is feeling much better). As the night was coming to an end and it got darker Emmery(wandering around) found these strange jumping things on the ground. She was so hilarious how she would squat and watch it then pursue to grab it and of course it would fly away near by and she'd be at it again. Cute little belly sticking out. I think towards the end she actually caught one but freaked out.
Oh the simplest things can be so interesting :O)
P.S. Before the game Da Da decided to play alittle gameworks and Emmery couldn't even concentrate on eating she was sooo in tuned with the (video) game. which just so happened to be a baseball game. Oh boy, Like father, like daughter.

Get it, get it, GET IT!

As you can tell we had ANOTHER visitor the other day...no not a person, a baby lizard. Yes, this is not the first time. Im beginning to worry if one was found up stairs and He was found down stairs...Is there a nest in my house somewhere!?!?!?
Don't let the cuteness fool you, yes hes a cutie but sure gave me a scare because I thought he was a cockroach. Thank goodness hes not. For you animal lovers out there...Yes, i took care of him properly...he's safely outside.
He reminds me a outdated dinosaur.
P.s. HAPPY 100TH POST ! ! !

Crunch Crunch, munch munch

Mr. F(sean) and I were at Costco the other day and Sean had insisted that I try these chips. Not just any chips but brown rice chips. "Yuck!", I thought, but okay only because if theres any way that I can find to avoid wheat might as well try. (If you don't know me...I burp and bloat alot after eating foods that contain wheat in them, im pretty sure I have a wheat allergy.) Am Not kidding about that, I totally look pregnant after eating Pasta!!! So as to my surprise they tasted pretty good :O) I was very excited because they cost less than 3 dollars a bag. If you're at Costco they are a must try...they taste really good...kinda like corn nuts.

My Favorite

My Favorite "thing" thats been on my mind today is the admiration of these earings. I don't know what is it about them that draws to me but I can't help but fall in love with them. Birds remind me of easter, happiness, the dove in Noah's story, the lauguage of song. I guess Im "twitter pated".

My Favorite

I had this idea pop in my head today and the more I thought about it the more I was excited. I want to start a pattern.Hmmm thats not the word...routine...or tradition, i guess. This is purely for my entertainment but also an acknowledment to myself of the little, the big, the whatever blessings, things im thankful for or that make me happy in my life. I was thinking that maybe it would be a weekly thing, every wednesday...but heck, if there is something that stands out to me that day...why not document it? But for now we'll call it "My Favorite".

The clever workings of Sean's brain

The best suprise happened to me yesterday. Sean heard me talking about how much I wanted that steam mop and yesterday told me he brought a present home. But firts lemme clue you in as to how it went down: ********************************************************* Sean: "Come down stairs, I have a present for you."
Me : "okay, okay, I'm coming" In my head I'm thinking...didn't Sean tell me that he went to Costco today for lunch???oh no he didn't...did he buy me that mop! as I'm coming down the stairs..
Me: "Sean? you didn't buy that mop did you?thats like 60 dollars!"
Sean: "oh no, sorry babe, I got you this"
Shows me a black office bag .
Me: "um, gee... thanks! Not sure it would be as useful to me as it would be for you...
didn't you say you wished you had a church bag to carry your stuff in?"
Sean: "oh yeah, you're right, well never mind then.sorry"
Me:"Sean, you're such a goober" Then all of a sudden he grabs the closet door where we were standing and pulls out this box from the closet. Me: "oh you big fat liar!" smacked him on the arm playfully.
Im really excited inside but a little upset too b/c I know that now wasn't the time to buy it...but the excitement overcame. Do you see how my husband can be such a goober? He plays it off as he's so sleek and cunning. ha ha What a guy! I love him and I love his little tricks he plays on me. Thanks babe for the surprise gift! I love you! side note* day b/4 I cleaned the bathrooms but avoided mopping them. Me: "See, I knew there was a reason why I didn't mop yesterday." :-)

Couleur aka Color

I was getting ready to put Emmery down for a nap when I walked into her room to find this.
A beautiful rainbow in her room. I looked around as to what could have caused this beautiful occurrence and found that my CD sitting on the bookshelf was in the direct path of the Sunlight seeping through the blinds.
It was so awing I had to take a picture. It hasn't happened before, so I think it must be the sun beginning to change path. I said to Emmery "look baby its a rainbow!". Course, she didn't understand as to where I was pointing to...but she was amused at my enthusiasm and began to giggle. Little misses, such a lady bug.

Good VS EviL..yes, I have an opinion

My lovely sister sent me this email...i've recieved it before but i want to make a statement...however before this occurs please read the following....
The following was written by Ben Stein and recited by him on CBS Sunday Morning Commentary. My confession: I am a Jew, and every single one of my ancestors was Jewish. And it does not bother me even a little bit when people call those beautiful lit up, bejeweled trees, Christmas trees. I don't feel threatened. I don't feel discriminated against. That's what they are: Christmas trees. It doesn't bother me a bit when people say, 'Merry Christmas' to me. I don't think they are slighting me or getting ready to put me in a ghetto. In fact, I kind of like it. It shows that we are all brothers and sisters celebrating this happy time of year. It doesn't bother me at all that there is a manger scene on display at a key intersection near my beach house in Malibu. If people want a crèche, it's just as fine with me as is the Menorah a few hundred yards away. I don't like getting pushed around for being a Jew, and I don't think Christians like getting pushed around for being Christians.. I think people who believe in God are sick and tired of getting pushed around, period. I have no idea where the concept came from that America is an explicitly atheist country. I can't find it in the Constitution and I don't like it being shoved down my throat. Or maybe I can put it another way: where did the idea come from that we should worship celebrities and we aren't allowed to worship God as we understand Him? I guess that's a sign that I'm getting old, too... But there are a lot of us who are wondering where these celebrities came from and where the America we knew went to. In light of the many jokes we send to one another for a laugh, this is a little different: This is not intended to be a joke; it's not funny, it's intended to get you thinking. Billy Graham's daughter was interviewed on the Early Show and Jane Clayson asked her 'How could God let something like this happen?' (regarding Katrina) Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and insightful response. She said, 'I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we've been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives. And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out. How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand He leave us alone?' In light of recent events... Terrorists attack, school shootings, etc. I think it started when Madeleine Murray O'Hare (she was murdered, her body found a few years ago) complained she didn't want prayer in our schools, and we said OK. Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school. The Bible says thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbor as yourself. And we said OK. Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't spank our children when they misbehave because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem (Dr. Spock's son committed suicide). We said an expert should know what he's talking about. And we said OK. Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why theyDon't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves. Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a great deal to do with 'WE REAP WHAT WE SOW.' Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell. Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says. Funny how you can send 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing. Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace. Are you laughing yet? Funny how when you forward this message, you will not send it to many on Your address list because you're not sure what they believe, or what they Will think of you for sending it. Funny how we can be more worried about what other people think of us than what God thinks of us. Pass it on if you think it has merit. If not then just discard it... No one will know you did. But, if you discard this thought process, don't sit back and complain about what bad shape the world is in. My Best Regards, Honestly and respectfully, Ben Stein
Now back as to what I wish to say... I just love how he puts things...I just want to jump up and say "Heck yeah you're right, Right on Ben, You tell 'em!" I can't help but get steamed up when I read this because the truth of it and it hurts. I just get angry and then become sad. Because thats the world as we know it...whats worse is we don't know all of it...I'm sure it is far beyond worse of what our brain has capacity to think. And whats even more disturbing is our poor children we bring into this world have the worst to come. I hate it when I hear ppl say "well Im not having children just to bring them into this awful world" What good does that do???Nothing! Your not any better than the person who inputs evil into this world. I understand because I have a child now. We can't help but want to stick them in a bubble where its safe where they can learn and grow and be shielded from this disgust. All we can do to help fight back it is to rear our children in light and truth so that they can conquer the world to come and fight alongside God. And THAT there gives me hope, THAT there give me Purpose.
God is with us, he loves us and will always be there for us and that is a promise I have to remind myself. Good always conquers evil, its just our matter of Will.

Saturday's Good Buys

Its been months since I had started my search for a straw sippy cup. I've looked online, I've looked in stores and I've only come close to one of these and it was a stupid Race car one that cost 8 bucks. Pshhhh...i don't think so! I knew that there had to be another way. Well I just so happened to need something at the dollar store ,while there it hit me..."why not check the baby section?". Harmless right...so I went scanning and sure enough there they were. It was an awesome coincidence. Since they were mass produced by the NBA they were all sports kinds. This was the only one I had taken a liking to. I took it home, washed it, and Emmery loved it at dinner time. Lets just say she drank alot.:-) And just a BUCK! It was perfect! No leaks, no spills, just backwash. hehe
Then earlier today..i was doing some quick picks at Wal-mart when I decided to check out their earring section and I came across this bracelet in the clearance for $5.50 it was 50% off. It is a magnetic bracelet. Helps with circulation and joints and something else..oh yeah, headaches. I must say I was so excited I ripped it out of the package as soon as I got home. After seconds of putting it on my hand felt cool. Now it could have been my imagination but it felt different, and I liked it. Whatever, I'll I know is I didn't get my normal afternoon headache. Which could be mere coincidence. I dunno. The downer is it does pull on my hairs. Ouch.

TGIF...so now what?

Here we are at Costa Vida however there was soap in the Fountain. "hmmm..." I don't care what we do..as long as its with you. I think Emmery had a little to much of the punch... Well now that I've got the rest of the evening to myself...I think I'll read a magazine.

Thats all folks!

Mom, where are we going?

And so this random happening of Random Happenings began once upon a Thursday. Premeditated of course but not thought through enough. But hey isn't that why its called Spontaneous??? So Sean departed from his family and flew to Utah for family matters. What does a mother and a child do to kill the time? Lets go to Grandmas! If daddy has a short vacation why not us? So off we go. However, unfortunate it was Grandma and Gpa left to Florida on Tuesday. So it happens its just us. But we'll pretend its a vacation. 45 minutes Later...finally there.
Emmery was excited to be in a new environment
Emmery was craving the camera...well, a mama can't say no. :-)
After dinner...
So beautiful
Now what?...well lets play on those beautiful keys...maybe share a kiss or 2.
That about does it. Hope you enjoyed! Good nite!
