On the road to Recovery

Well I thought I would give a brief update since last post:
  • Wednesday Aug. 27 @ 3.30am Sean woke up in agonizing pain.
  • 11am that day got muscle relaxers, pain meds, and anti-inflammatory pills from doctor.
  • Vicodin failed to work neither sitting or lying down provided any relief.
  • 24hrs goes by 3.20am Thursday morning since Sean has slept and wakes me up crying(practically) from the pain that has reached its end of his patience.
  • Is taken to ER @ 3:50am and was seen promptly. steroids and other shots were given to sean. He slept finally. 3hrs later...
  • 6.30am Sean comes home disoriented and drugged but finds his way to the bedroom and passes out.
  • James(sean's dad) was the one who kindly took him and went to pick up his Percocet among BETTER meds for sean to take.
  • Scheduled MRI that day went very well now since Sean was able to lie down.

A very relieved wife after her nerves were shaken since this whole ordeal, was finally able to sleep too. Thankfully I have such wonderful parents who were there for me to listen to my cries and worries at 4am in the morning. I was very relieved to have my mother come to give me emotional support along with helping me take care of my family. B/c that day I had to take Emmery to her doc apt. due to the infection in her toe @ 8.20am. Not to mention the cold she got the same time sean hurt his back at which would wake her up at various times during the night. On top of that the moans and groans and the constant shuffling of the bed all during the night from sean trying to find some relief.

I seriously dreamed of chopping my head off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ahhh...its such relief now that everything is better since those tiny little pills eased everything, $150 dollars later. But hey its worth it.

I am so thankful for your thoughts and prayers for us at this difficult time. It really did help because...well to start:

blessing #1: to have the funds to get what we needed-for me to be well enough to take care of my family-keeping my head together through all of this(which i barely managed)-and by Friday my husband was able to stop taking Percocet...he didn't have any more pain! Such a blessing and especially to come so fast. We are so thankful. Thank you , thank you, thank you!

With all our love,

The Flemings

I am glad that Sean is doing better! Wow, poor guy; it's never fun to be in that much pain. Hopefully you all are able to find a more permenate solution to his pain, rather than medicating him. Tell him we are thinking of him and hopes that he continues to feel better!
